Threes Program
2-Day Three’s Class meets Tuesday and Thursday from 8:45-11:45. It is designed for children who will turn three between June and December. The children in this class transition to the Pre-K Jr. Class.
3-Day Three’s Class meets Monday and Wednesday
from 8:45am-11:45, and Friday from 8:45-1:30. It is designed for children who have turned three between January and May. The children in this class transition to
the Pre-K Sr. Class.
Pre-K Programs
Pre-K Jr. Class (4-day) meets Monday-Thursday from 9:00-12:00 with two long days built into their schedule (Mon/Wed or Tues/Thurs from 12-3pm) Half of the class will stay on the long days. This program is designed for children who turn four between June and December.
Pre-K Sr. Class (5-day) meets Monday through Friday
from 9:00-12:00 and on Friday from 9:00-1:30pm. This program has two longs days built into their schedule (Mon/Wed or Tues/Thurs from 12-3pm). Half of the class will stay on the long days. It is designed for children turning four between January and May and children who turn five between September and December. This class is ideal for children who need an extra year before Kindergarten.
Lunch Bunch and Extend My Week
Lunch Bunch and Extend My Week are auxiliary programs at NCCNS. Lunch Bunch is offered Monday through Thursday from 12:00-3:00. A different topic is emphasized each day. An option to pick up your child at 1:30 is also available.
Extend My Week is the Friday program that is available for the 2-Day three’s and the Pre-K Jr. This program meets Fridays from 9:00-1:30 giving the children in these classes the option of adding an extra day to their week. The theme of the Friday program will be called “Discoverymania”. The children will engage in science and art projects that enable them to plan, predict and test out hypotheses while making an array of compounds and experimenting with paints and implementing nature into their work.
2011 Summer Programming
Spring Into Summer
During the first 3 weeks in June, we offer Spring Into Summer. This program meets Monday-Friday from 9:00-2:00. It’s a transition program beginning at the end of our school year and ending right before summer camp. It is offered to all children in our Threes and Four's classes. Registration for this program takes place in March, and is on a first come-first serve basis. NCCNS faculty teaches the program.
Summer Camp
Beginning in June and continuing through the in July, we offer a six-week summer camp program. It is
offered to all children ages 3-5. Three sessions, two weeks
each, are scheduled to run from 8:45-12:45, with a different theme
each session. Registration and tuition is due in February. The
camp is offered to all NCCNS parents on a first come-first serve
basis, before it is opened to the public. Our NCCNS faculty
staffs the program.
